Workers comp nightmare!
I see why this company has horrible reviews!! Do not go through them for workers comp claim or any service for that matter.
Their customer service is beyond *** My "assigned" adjuster never answered the phone or returned calls regarding my claim I had to contact a supervisor just to get my basic questions answered about my claim! Then they process your payment for your claim at the last minute or not at all so your stuck waiting for a payment that you should have received days ago!! Worst customer service ever, complete frauds. I hate that I had to go through them for my claim.
I will make sure to tell my employer to not utilize this insurance company if someone gets hurt on the job in the future, they make the process painful and a complete headache. A bunch of *** with headsets calling themselves claims adjuster they don't adjust ***!

Backhoe Vandalism
We puchased backhoe through John Deere and also purchased insurance for it through Sentry. We've always paid our payments almost done paying backhoe.
Well, it was vandalized and the claim rep. Jessica Gast took from 9/11/2017 when claim was opened to 11/12/2017 to assign an adjuster. Now, the adjuster feels the pictures taken at the RDO shop do not seem to show the damage the shop repaired. The shop is not the adjuster if he required certain type of photos then he should have gone himself to take the pictures.
I feel this is a way they try to avoid paying claims. Here we are paying our insurance payments and when we do need it Sentry only acts with unprofessionalism and makes us feel as if we are dishonest. Sentry do your job.
You want a certain type of photo then send the adjuster to take it!! Very disatisfied!!

Dairyland/Sentry auto insurance RACKET
I was involved in an accident with a person who had Dairyland insurance. She admitted total fault.
I reported it to the claims agent of her insurance. I got an automated email from Viking Insurance which is somehow under Sentry Insurance. After several days of waiting to be contacted, I made several phone calls to the agent in the email who ignored me. I made several calls to the woman's agent & she didn't receive replies either.
The local agent contacted someone else at Sentry & I emailed. I was told Sentry would only cover 85% of the costs for repair. I knew that there was no way I could have avoided the other car & I was completely not at fault in any way. Again, no response from the agent.
Again, multiple attempts to contact them. I was eventually told that I could accept their 85% offer or go to court. I seriously contemplated doing so, but decided it would cost me even more to do so. I was told the insurance check would arrive in 4 days.
Again, no check, more emails from me. Finally a check arrived 36 days after the accident. I have shared this story with others & I've learned that this is normal for this company.
They make the victim of the accident pay for a portion of their costs. Sentry Insurance is a RACKET.
Preferred solution: Get a conscience or go out of business.

This is crazy!
My daughter, 20 years old at the time, was injured in a major car accident by hitting a huge barrel on the highway which caused her to lose control of her car. It flipped over and over several times, and her (new) car was crushed except just around her body.
It was a miracle. The hospital bills, doctor bills, and chiropractor (which she will need the rest of her life) doesn't even add up to what Sentry and their client is spending in legal fees to get out of paying the darn bills.
Sentry and the company that the driver (who dropped the barrel on the highway) paid for her car immediately, making it seem that the whole thing would go smoothly. Wrong!
It has been more than 3 1/2 years and still, not one medical bill has been paid! They do not want to pay, and in fact, have tried to weasel out of the whole thing by trying to deny that it even happened, or at least, that her permanent back damage and traumatic brain injury does not exist. She will go to trial soon, and all I can say is this is ridiculous. She (and her husband and parents) have been through h*** dealing with these idiots!
We've been told to expect the trial to last for several days!
This is ridiculous. It should be cut and dry: the driver failed to secure the load in his truck, the empty fuel tank rolled off truck, my daughter hit it and lost control and the car was wrecked, she sustained multiple injuries including permanent back/neck damage and lost two jobs and also has a permanent brain injury which keeps her from completing school and THEY WON'T PAY!
Very unhappy customer
I'm a customer of Sentry Insurance, about a month ago my son was rear ended pretty bad by another Sentry customer. They came out took photos, and to access damage I barely got a check for damages last week.
Really???? There was also damage to the emissions on the back of the car that now the car is not drivable. Still haven't received a check for that. So I was just able to get the car to a body shop yesterday then wait to see if the check was even enough to cover all damages, which it probably isn't then have to wait to them to cut another check...
I asked for a rental car, Sentry tried to give me the smallest car available, not anything in comparison to my vehicle. I had to argue with them to upgrade me so my and my family could actually fit. Then come to find out they told me my insurance wouldn't cover this rental car. I would have to purchase insurance for $17+ a day.
I don't feel like anything should come out of my pocket for (SOMETHING THAT WASN'T MY FAULT) I think the person who hit my car should be responsible for paying the insurance. Well not according to Sentry... Moral of the story, I will no longer give Sentry my business. For being the victim I have been through *** with these people.
They don't return phone calls, they don't give you any updates. For the people who cry wolf after an accident, those are the people who are catered to. People like me who are honest, get the run around, and are treated like they are the bad guy. In all honesty I'm glad my son was ok and nobody was injured but this is something that should never happen to a victim of an accident.
These people act like it's coming out of their own bank account. Honestly, thinking about seeking legal council..
These people are supposed to be on our side and help us!!! What a worthless company!!!

Your cheap and paid for a cheap policy, cheap rental coverage hence you getting a little car, and blah blah whatever else you want to *** about. Glad your *** isn't with our company anymore, your one of those people that we do ignore because your such a pain in the ***!
It wasn't this person's insurance...it was the at fault drivers insurance
